Hi, I'm Renée, the creator behind Simply Ren Studio!
I've always loved making things with my hands. While I can't draw to save my life, I've always had a creative side. Over the years, my interests have taken me from mastering French macarons and sourdough bread to painting and refinishing furniture. I'm always looking for something new to create.
In June 2026, I discovered the art of transforming oyster and scallop shells into colorful, one-of-a-kind pieces, and Simply Ren Studio was born.
What started as a creative outlet quickly became something much more rewarding than I ever expected. I love the entire process, from hunting for shells to cleaning, prepping, painting, and photographing the finished pieces. It's become the therapy I didn't know I needed.
One of the most incredible parts of this adventure is knowing that something I created with my own hands caught the attention of a complete stranger, who loved it enough to purchase it. The thought of my creations finding a place in someone else's home still makes me smile.
Alongside my full-time career, Simply Ren Studio has become my happy place, where I can unwind, experiment with colors and designs, and turn ordinary shells into something unexpected.
